Mission Statement

Guri Wa Ngundagar Aboriginal Corporation exists to enhance opportunities and conditions for its local   community in social, economic, health and personal-influence contexts. We will engage in any business or social activities, partnerships and joint ventures where we see a legal and morally just way to achieve our aims.

Specifically our mission is to:

·         Enhance the employment opportunities of employees through project and enterprise development.

·         Develop a successful work culture where employees learn to value their role in a supportive and successful environment.

·         Provide opportunities for support for employees to develop their levels of skill, knowledge and experience so that they may  compete successfully in the mainstream labour market, and increasingly at all levels.

·         Develop an increasing degree of confidence and self-determination in employees so that Guri Wa Ngundagar (CDEP) and its community move steadily towards complete self-direction and self-sufficiency.

·         Provide a corporate and social framework that is built on high level decision-making and management practices, as a context for achieving the above.

We will realize these aims by achieving the following goals:

·         Community awareness of our aims and the spirit in which we pursue them.

·         Return profits as forecast for any given enterprise or activity.

·         Significantly increase income each year through increased efficiencies, planning, and good management.

·         Designate every activity as either: 

1.      a profit-making business with clear business objectives.

2.      a social activity with clear social objectives/benefits.

·         Manage every designated enterprise as a true business in all respects.

·         Develop our asset base and independent income through integrating and growing more enterprises.

·         Ensue increasing levels of professionalism in management and supervision at all levels.

We will develop a strong organisation  in GWNAC that provides commercial and social support to our community in the forms of skills development and job placements. This will be achieved through a mixture of commercial developments and Government supported funding.
